3D Ultrasound
So we went tonight for the much anticipated 3D Ultrasound and it was confirmed, we are definately having a baby girl, and she is definately going to be beautiful. It was so amazing to see, I could have sat there all night long looking in at her playing in her own little world. At first, she had her hands up in front of her mouth and blocking her face. Sometimes it almost looked as if she was sucking her thumb. Then John starting poking at my belly a bit to get her to move around at that was it. She was doing gymnastics in there. It was hard to get a good clear shot of her face she rolled this way and that. She held her feet up and had her toes right in front of her mouth for awhile. She even showed us her little bum! She seemed playful and happy, but calm and so content in there. I really love the idea that right now my body provides everything for her that she needs, and she is so perfectly safe and wanting for nothing inside of me. As much as I cannot wait to hold and kiss her, I will miss having her a part of me and feeling her tiny movements that let me know that she is thriving inside of me. Pregnancy really is a beautiful thing, and this ultarsound tonight was a wonderful reminder of how exciting and precious these times really are.
I had a video along with the pictures but am having a hard time trying to figure out how to upload it. I will need some patience from you all with that. In the meantime I have attached some of the clearer pictures of our baby girl for you all to see. Is it just me, or is this one cute kid?

Less than 100 days....

27 weeks today and sometime last week I hit the "less that 100 days to go" milestone which was pretty exciting. Busy week last week and we forgot to take any belly shots so my slideshow will be missing week 26. But here I am, in all my glory, feeling as radiant as a beached whale. Actually I am really enjoying my belly starting to get nice and round and hard, as opposed to the chubby look I have felt leading into the last trimester. It's all starting to feel so....real, if that makes any sense. Not that it didn't before, but it just seemed like we has FOREVER until the baby was going to come. All of a sudden it seems like theres not enough time to get everything we want done before her arrival. I am really looking forward to the next three months, the last trimester of my first pregnancy. I really have enjoyed experiencing all these "firsts" and lets face it, I am pretty sure the second pregnancy isn't nearly as relaxing with a little one running around. I have three more months of "me" time and am taking full advantage, staying up late and sleeping in. I really am so lucky to be able to enjoy my time like this. I am a spoiled girl!
So not much new here, I will be leaving for AZ again sometime this or next week. Tickets arent booked yet and I am not sure exactly, but the babys furniture is going to be delivered end of May or early April so I have to be there for that. I can't wait for the sunshine and warm weather again, its been nasty here this week. Its starting to warm up but we got 6 inches of snow over the weekend so of course it pretty much confines you to the house around here....blah. I am anxiously awaiting the AZ weather for sure.
Oh yeah, went to Babies R Us yesterday and bought our first box of diapers and wipes yesterday. Geez, that stuff is not cheap. John joked that she has 6 months to figure out how to use the toilet, then no more diapers. Ha ha ha....aren't we in for a surprise?

25 weeks tomorrow!

Got my weekly email today that says I am 25 weeks and Baby is almost 14 inches long. I cannot believe how much she is growing, but her kicks are getting stronger and more frequent everyday. On Saturday morning I was watching TV and I had my hands rested on my stomache. She kicked so hard right where my hand was it actually moved.
Oh yeah, and she seems to be most active in the mornings now. Umm, I wonder if that means she is going to be a morning person. Yikes.
I caught a red eye home from AZ last night and landed at JFK this morning to 15 degrees. It was 80 yesterday in Scottsdale and tough to leave. But I really did miss John this last week and am glad to be back home with him tonight. Thought I would post a couple pics of the 25 week bump. Enjoy!
