Well it's been a long time coming but we finally took the time this weekend to measure our kids. I used to go monthly to the pediatrician to have them both weighed and checked in height, but it just became too much of a hassle. They are both finally old enough that they can just stand on the scale by themselves, and tonight we had them stand up against the wall and took their height measurement that way. They both thought it was so cool that we were writing on the wall, hopefully no one got any ideas. I remember growing up and having a wall in our house in the basement that Dad would take us down and measure our height from time to time and it was always to fun to go down there and get measured and see how much we had grown since the last time, or how much taller we were than each other, and tonight I got to do that with my kids and it was very special to me.
Oh yeah, and I don't know when it happened, but sometime between this weigh in and the last, which was back in August '08 (right around Mav's first birthday) he has officially outgrown his sister in weight. In fact, he has her beat by TWO whole pounds.
Here are the stats:
Maverick is 28 lbs and 31.5 inches tall
Tula is 26 lbs and 34.5 inches tall
Some pics from our measuring tonight:

See I knew it! The boy is absolutely solid and it kills my back to pack him. 3 inches shorter and 2 pounds heavier, now that is one hefty little guy! Love you bugs.
We had a wall in our house too! So did Kyle:) What a fun tradition to pass on! Can't believe he has passed her in weight by 2 pounds! Mighty Mav:)
Sooo cute! I loved our height wall. Garetts parents had one in the kitchen and measured the kids until they were adults. Its really cute to see the wall starting when they could stand all the way to when they were 'full grown'. I love the idea. PS, your kids are kinda sorta cute!
Its so funny that Mav weights more than Tula but she is taller! She is going to be a string bean just like Tatum!
Aww I love it!! Can't wait to do that with my own kids! <3!!
